Pastels

A dear friend and a local pastel artist, Dorothy Jenson, taught me how to use pastels!
I never thought the watercolor artist in me would ever succumb to pastels, but I have been LOVING it!
Here are a few of my paintings so far.

 "Dancing Trees"on Wallis Museum 3 x 5
This painting is from a photo I took on a hike during the summer at our family reunion near Mt. Hood.

"Apple Harvest" Card Stock, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
Painted from a photo reference from Paint My Photo submitted by Donna Klarenbach "Apples"

"Autumn Blues"
PastelMat 7 1/8 x 9 1/2
Photo Reference from Paint My Photo by Rodney Campbell  "Lake Sixteen"

Look how much you've done already! That's one of the fun things about working in pastel: Immediate gratification! I love what you are doing and am excited to see how you will express yourself in pastel.
